Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

From all of us at Shafie Travels, we pray you and your loved ones enter this Ramadan with ease, barakah, and a heart that feels close to Allah.

Ramadan can feel like a reset, until life gets busy.

That’s why we wanted to share a few gentle reminders below, something simple you can return to throughout the month.

Allah sees every sincere effort, big or small.

May Allah accept your fasting, your prayers, and your du’a, and make this Ramadan a month of peace, growth, and forgiveness for you.

Ramadan Reminders: A Gentle Daily Checklist

1) Start with intention (Niyyah)

Before the day begins, take 10 seconds to set your intention:

• “I’m fasting for Allah, seeking His pleasure.”

• Keep it specific: Today I’ll guard my tongue and keep my prayers on time.

2) Suhoor: Keep it simple and sustainable

• Hydrate well (water + electrolytes if needed)

• Slow-release foods (oats, eggs, yogurt, whole grains)

• Avoid salty foods that increase thirst

3) Guard the fast (it’s more than food)

• Avoid arguments and negativity

• Keep your tone gentle when tired

• If provoked, choose calm: “I’m fasting.”

4) Prayers on time (your daily framework)

• Aim for on-time prayers as your non-negotiable

• Build your day around Salah

5) A daily Qur’an plan you can actually keep

Choose one:

• 10 minutes after Fajr

• 1 page after each salah

• 20 minutes before bed

• Or set a target to recite the full Quran through the blessed month

6) Dhikr that fits real life

• SubhanAllah • Alhamdulillah • Allahu Akbar

• Astaghfirullah • La ilaha illAllah

Salawat on the Prophet ﷺ: Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammad wa ‘ala aali Muhammad.

“O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad.”

7) Dua: Keep a personal list

• Guidance, forgiveness, closeness to Allah

• Family wellbeing and provision

• Barakah in time and health

• The Ummah and those suffering

8) Charity: Small, consistent giving

• Give daily, even if it’s small

• Feed someone fasting when you can

• Support verified causes as well as supporting those close to us who are in need

9) Iftar: Don’t turn it into burnout

• Break fast with dates + water (Sunnah of the Prophet)

• Pray Maghrib

• Eat balanced—don’t overload keeping Taraweeh in mind

10) Night routine: Protect Taraweeh and your heart

• Do what you can sustain

• End with istighfar and gratitude

Short dua: Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni.

“O Allah, You are the One who pardons and loves to pardon, so pardon me.”

May Allah accept from all of us, forgive our shortcomings, and grant ease to anyone finding this month heavy.
