Visiting the Rawdah

Visiting the Rawdah (Riyāḍ al-Jannah) in Madinah requires a timed permit via the official Nusuk app. Here’s a clear, English walkthrough—plus day-of tips so you arrive calm and ready. (Policies and timings can change; we’ll brief you before you go.)

What you’ll need

• Your passport details as used for your trip

• The Nusuk app installed and logged in on your phone

• Your companions added (if applicable)

• Flexibility on timing—slots can go quickly

Nusuk is the Saudi government’s official digital platform for Umrah and Rawdah services. Always use the official Nusuk app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Step-by-step: booking a Rawdah permit (in English)

1. Install & sign in

Download Nusuk and sign in with your account (or create one). Ensure notifications are enabled.

2. Open Prophet’s Mosque services

In the app, go to the Prophet’s Mosque services and choose “Booking of Permit for the Noble Rawdah” (Men/Women). (Menu labels may appear slightly different across app versions.)

3. Select visitors

Tick your name; add companions if you’re travelling together and eligible for the same time slot. Continue.

4. Choose date & time

Pick an available slot. If nothing suits you, check again later—new times can open. (We’ll advise best-chance windows during your trip.)

5. Confirm & save your permit

Confirm the booking. Your QR code permit is issued in the app—screenshot it as backup for the mosque entry.

6. On the day

Arrive early (20–30 minutes). Follow the signs for the designated Rawdah entrance and present your QR code when asked. Keep your group together and follow the stewards’ guidance.

The government service description confirms booking through Nusuk with a chosen date and time for visiting Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifiyah.

Day-of etiquette & tips

Be punctual & patient. It’s a timed flow to keep everyone safe.

Travel light. Small bag/phone only; power-bank if needed.

Prepare duas in advance. Keep them on your phone or a small card.

Dress modestly & appropriately.

If you miss your slot: check the app for the next available time; stewards cannot override the system.

FAQs

Do I need to be in Madinah to book?

Not necessarily—permits can appear days in advance. We’ll advise timing based on your itinerary.

Are men’s and women’s slots the same?

No—timings and flow are different. Always select the correct option in Nusuk.

Can children enter the Rawdah?

Policies may vary; check the app and our pre-departure notes before you attempt to add children.

Can I change my time after booking?

If slots exist, you may rebook—otherwise, keep checking as new times open.
